Pusan
South Korea's harbor
Pusan is the former romanization of Busan, South Korea's second-largest city and principal port.
The spelling Pusan dominated English usage through most of the 20th century and still appears in historical references: the Pusan Perimeter refers to the desperate UN defensive line during the Korean War.
Official South Korean romanization shifted to Busan in 2000.
