plutocracy
Moneyed class governance
Plutocracy is government by the wealthy, or a state controlled by rich elites.
The term usually carries criticism—implying that money buys political power and policy serves the interests of the rich: Critics argue the country has become a plutocracy where billionaires set the agenda.
A plutocrat is a member of such a ruling class.
