Olympian deities
Zeus's divine family
The Olympian deities are the principal gods of ancient Greek religion, believed to dwell on Mount Olympus.
The core twelve include Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Demeter, and either Hestia or Dionysus.
They ruled over various domains—war, love, wisdom, the sea—and their myths shaped Western literature and art.
The temple was dedicated to the Olympian deities.
