Old English Sheepdogs
Fluffy British drovers
Old English Sheepdogs are large, shaggy herding dogs recognizable by their profuse gray-and-white coats that often cover their eyes.
Despite the name, the breed developed in England only in the 18th century, primarily to drive cattle and sheep to market.
Their distinctive shuffling gait and amiable, clownish temperament have made them popular family pets and advertising mascots.
The breed is sometimes called a bobtail because their tails were traditionally docked.
