Basenjis

Mute African dogs

Basenjis is the plural of Basenji, a breed of hunting dog originating in Central Africa.

The breed is known for being barkless—though not silent, as Basenjis produce a distinctive yodeling sound.

They are small, alert dogs with pointed ears, a tightly curled tail, and a reputation for independence: Basenjis are notoriously difficult to train.
