Nanna
Sumerian lunar deity
Nanna is an informal, affectionate term for grandmother, used especially in British English and parts of the Commonwealth.
It belongs to the same family of familiar kinship terms as nana, nan, and granny.
Children typically use it as a form of address or reference: Nanna's coming over for Sunday lunch.
The word can also serve as a proper noun when it functions as a name.
