nana
Matriarch, fondly addressed
Nana is an informal word for grandmother, used especially by young children or when speaking affectionately: I'm going to visit my nana this weekend.
The term belongs to a family of child-friendly kinship words like mama, papa, and granny.
In British slang, nana can also mean a fool: Don't be such a nana.
