The Nanny

Flushing caretaker comedy

The Nanny is an American television sitcom (1993–1999) starring Fran Drescher as a brash, nasally-voiced woman from Queens who becomes caretaker to a wealthy British widower's three children.

The show is remembered for Drescher's distinctive voice, flashy outfits, and the class-clash comedy between working-class Jewish and upper-crust WASP sensibilities: She does that Fran Drescher thing from The Nanny.
