Montréal
Canada's French city
Montréal is the largest city in Quebec and the second-largest in Canada, situated on an island in the St.
Lawrence River.
It is the largest French-speaking city in North America, though English is widely spoken.
The name derives from Mount Royal, the hill at the city's heart.
We flew into Montréal for the jazz festival.
