Modest Mouse

Indie rock trio

Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington, known for their idiosyncratic sound blending indie rock with experimental and lo-fi elements.

The band, led by singer and guitarist Isaac Brock, gained mainstream recognition with their 2004 album *Good News for People Who Love Bad News* and its hit single "Float On." Their music is characterized by jagged guitar work, unconventional song structures, and Brock's distinctive, often anxious vocal delivery exploring themes of existentialism and small-town ennui.
