MMS
Multimedia phone messages
MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service, a standard for sending pictures, videos, and audio files between mobile phones.
It extends the older SMS (text-only) capability: Send me that photo via MMS.
MMS messages often incur higher carrier charges than regular texts. (Lowercase mms is an interjection.)
