Call blocking is the practice of preventing certain phone calls from reaching you, typically to screen out spam, telemarketers, or unwanted contacts.
Most smartphones and phone services offer call blocking features that automatically reject calls from specified numbers or suspected scam callers: I turned on call blocking after getting five robocalls in one day.
