M-1
American military rifle
M-1 designates the primary standard-issue rifle of U.S. forces in World War II and Korea—the M-1 Garand, a semi-automatic .30 caliber weapon.
The designation system extends to other military equipment: the M-1 Abrams is the U.S.
Army's main battle tank.
In economics, M-1 (or M1) refers to the narrowest measure of money supply, including currency in circulation and demand deposits.
