Garand

Clip-fed military arm

The Garand is a semiautomatic rifle that was the standard U.S. military firearm during World War II and the Korean War.

Named for its designer John Garand, it's formally designated the M1 rifle and is often called simply the M1 Garand.

Its distinctive ping when ejecting an empty clip became iconic in war films.
