Luton
Bedfordshire industrial town
Luton is a town in Bedfordshire, England, about thirty miles north of London.
Known historically for hat-making, it now hosts London Luton Airport, one of several airports serving the capital.
In British slang, Luton sometimes appears as shorthand for unglamorous or unfashionable places: It's not exactly Paris—more like Luton.
