Lite-Brite
Glowing peg board
Lite-Brite is a toy that creates glowing pictures by inserting colored plastic pegs into a backlit pegboard.
Black paper templates guide the design, and when illuminated from behind, the pegs shine like points of light.
Introduced in the 1960s, it remains a nostalgic touchstone for generations of children: I spent hours on my Lite-Brite making pictures of clowns and flowers.
