Leptis Magna
Leptis Magna is the ruins of an ancient Roman city on the Mediterranean coast of what is now Libya.
Founded by Phoenicians and later expanded under Roman rule, it became one of the most prominent cities in Roman Africa.
The well-preserved remains—including a basilica, amphitheater, and triumphal arch—make it a significant archaeological site: We visited Leptis Magna on our trip to Libya.
