Jewess
Female Hebrew person
A Jewess is a Jewish woman or girl.
The term was standard English for centuries but has fallen out of favor, now often perceived as reductive or offensive—defining a woman by her ethnicity and gender simultaneously in a way that feels archaic.
Most contemporary speakers prefer "Jewish woman": She's Jewish rather than She's a Jewess.
