Italian Riviera
Mediterranean coastal strip
The Italian Riviera is the coastal region of Liguria in northwestern Italy, stretching along the Mediterranean from the French border to Tuscany.
It curves around the port city of Genoa, divided into the Riviera di Ponente to the west and Riviera di Levante to the east.
Known for dramatic cliffs, pastel fishing villages, and mild climate, it includes resort towns like Portofino and the Cinque Terre: We spent a week on the Italian Riviera.
