Liguria

Northwestern Italian coastline

Liguria is a coastal region in northwestern Italy, curving along the Mediterranean Sea from the French border to Tuscany.

Its capital is Genoa.

The narrow strip between mountains and sea is known for the Italian Riviera, the colorful villages of Cinque Terre, and pesto alla genovese.

We spent a week driving through Liguria.
