Heathens

Germanic faith revivalists

Heathens is the plural of heathen—people who don't follow one of the major religions, especially Christianity.

The word originally meant country-dwellers (like *pagan*, from Latin for villager), since rural folk were slower to adopt new faiths.

Today it's often used loosely or humorously for anyone perceived as irreligious or uncivilized: Those heathens don't even own a coffee maker.
