HMS Dreadnought
HMS Dreadnought was a British battleship launched in 1906 whose revolutionary design rendered all previous warships obsolete.
Her combination of steam turbine propulsion and uniform heavy armament created a new class of warship—all subsequent battleships of similar design were called dreadnoughts, while older vessels became "pre-dreadnoughts." The name has been used for multiple Royal Navy ships.
