Graham Greene

Graham Greene (1904–1991) was an English novelist and journalist whose work often explored moral ambiguity, Catholic themes, and characters caught in political or spiritual crises.

His novels include *The Power and the Glory*, *The End of the Affair*, *The Quiet American*, and *The Third Man*, which was adapted into a celebrated film.

Greene divided his own work into "novels" and "entertainments," though critics generally regard both categories as serious literary achievements.

His writing frequently drew on his travels to conflict zones and his brief work for British intelligence.
