P.G. Wodehouse

P.G.

Wodehouse (1881–1975) was a British-American comic novelist and short story writer, celebrated for creating Jeeves and Bertie Wooster.

His name is synonymous with a particular style of lighthearted, intricately plotted English comedy featuring hapless aristocrats, formidable aunts, and imperturbable butlers.

Wodehouse remains shorthand for elegant, frothy humor: The dialogue had a Wodehousian quality.
