Geneva Convention
Wartime humanitarian standards
The Geneva Conventions are international treaties establishing humanitarian standards for the treatment of people during war—wounded soldiers, prisoners of war, and civilians.
They prohibit torture, require medical care for the wounded, and protect noncombatants.
That's a violation of the Geneva Convention.
Often used in the singular even when referring to the full set of agreements.
