date-rape
Coerced sexual violation
Date-rape is sexual assault committed by someone the victim knows socially—an acquaintance, date, or romantic partner rather than a stranger.
The term emerged in the 1980s as awareness grew that most rapes occur between people who know each other: She was date-raped by a guy she met at a party.
As a verb, to date-rape is to commit such an assault.
