Ferengi
Profit-obsessed aliens
Ferengi are a fictional alien species from the Star Trek universe, characterized by their oversized ears, sharp teeth, and obsessive devotion to profit and commerce.
Their culture revolves around the Rules of Acquisition—a set of business maxims governing trade and negotiation.
Outside Star Trek fandom, Ferengi serves as shorthand for someone ruthlessly capitalistic or money-obsessed: The landlord raised rent again—total Ferengi move.
