Concordes

Former supersonic airliners

Concordes is the plural of Concorde, the supersonic passenger jet that flew commercially from 1976 to 2003.

Developed jointly by Britain and France, the Concorde could cross the Atlantic in about three hours, roughly half the time of conventional aircraft.

Only twenty were ever built, making references to multiple Concordes relatively rare outside discussions of aviation history or the specific aircraft in museum collections.
