BAC
Sobriety checkpoint measurement
BAC stands for blood alcohol content (or concentration), the standard measure of intoxication used in drunk-driving laws: The legal BAC limit is 0.08 in most states.
In genetics and molecular biology, BAC means bacterial artificial chromosome, a tool for cloning large DNA segments. (Lowercase bac is informal for baccalaureate or bacteria.)
