CompuServe
Early online service
CompuServe was an early online service provider, dominant from the 1980s into the mid-1990s before the rise of the World Wide Web.
It offered email, forums, file downloads, and dial-up internet access.
Back in the CompuServe days, you paid by the hour to be online.
The name now evokes the primitive era of consumer internet.
