Walden Pond
Massachusetts transcendentalist retreat
Walden Pond is a lake in eastern Massachusetts, near Concord, where Henry David Thoreau lived in a cabin from 1845 to 1847.
His experiment in simple living became the book *Walden*, making the pond a symbol of solitude, self-reliance, and deliberate living close to nature.
She dreamed of finding her own Walden Pond.
