Baby
Tiny family member
A baby is a very young human, typically from birth to about two years old.
The word extends to the young of other animals: a baby elephant.
As a term of endearment, baby addresses a romantic partner or, more broadly, anyone the speaker feels affection toward.
To baby someone is to treat them with excessive care or indulgence: Stop babying him.
As an adjective, baby indicates smallness or youth: baby carrots, baby sister.
