working day
Nine to five
A working day is a day when business is normally conducted—typically Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Contracts and deadlines often specify working days to account for weekends: Please allow five working days for delivery.
In British usage, working day also means the hours of a workday: an eight-hour working day.
Americans more often say business day or workday.
