wolffish

Fierce cold-water fish

Wolffish are large, fierce-looking marine fish with powerful jaws and prominent teeth, found in cold North Atlantic and Arctic waters.

Their teeth, which crush shellfish and sea urchins, give them a wolf-like appearance.

The firm white flesh is prized eating: We had grilled wolffish with lemon and capers.
