wild mustard
Yellow-flowered brassica pest
Wild mustard is any of several weedy plants in the mustard family that grow uncultivated in fields, roadsides, and disturbed soil.
The term most often refers to *Sinapis arvensis*, a yellow-flowered plant considered a nuisance in grain crops.
Young leaves are edible, with a peppery bite similar to cultivated mustard greens: The field was overrun with wild mustard.
