white stork
Baby-bringing legend bird
A white stork is a large wading bird with white plumage, black wing feathers, and a long red bill, common across Europe and parts of Asia and Africa.
White storks nest on rooftops and chimneys, and European folklore casts them as bringers of babies—hence the image of a stork carrying an infant in a blanket.
