webconference
Remote video gathering
A webconference is a meeting conducted over the internet, typically combining video, audio, and screen-sharing capabilities.
The term emphasizes the conference aspect—multiple participants gathering for discussion or presentation—rather than casual video chat.
We scheduled a webconference with the overseas team for Tuesday morning.
Often written as two words: web conference.
