weather watch
Atmospheric condition alert
A weather watch is an alert issued by meteorological services when atmospheric conditions favor the development of hazardous weather—severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, flooding, or winter storms.
A watch means conditions are possible but not yet occurring or imminent; it's less urgent than a warning, which indicates danger is happening or about to: A tornado watch is in effect until midnight.
