volcano model
Baking soda project
A volcano model is a small-scale replica of a volcano, typically built as a school science project.
The classic version uses baking soda and vinegar to simulate an eruption, producing fizzing "lava" that flows down the sides: Every kid makes a volcano model at some point.
The project is so ubiquitous it has become a cliché of elementary school science fairs.
