vine leaves

Dolma wrapper material

Vine leaves are the broad, lobed leaves of grapevines, used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking.

They're typically stuffed with rice, meat, or herbs and rolled into parcels: dolmas wrapped in vine leaves.

Fresh leaves are blanched before use; preserved ones come brined in jars.

Also called grape leaves.
