vert ramp
Curved skating structure
A vert ramp is a U-shaped skateboarding or BMX structure with vertical sections at the top of each side.
The vertical portions allow riders to launch into the air and perform aerial tricks before dropping back in.
Vert ramps are typically large—often twelve feet or higher—and require significant skill: She landed a 900 on the vert ramp.
Distinguished from street skating, vert skating emerged as a distinct discipline in the 1970s.
