ventilation ducts
HVAC distribution channels
Ventilation ducts are channels that carry air through a building's heating, cooling, or air circulation system.
Usually made of sheet metal, fiberglass, or flexible tubing, they run behind walls, above ceilings, and under floors, distributing conditioned air and returning stale air to be filtered or exhausted.
The inspector found mold growing in the ventilation ducts.
