return air
HVAC intake flow
Return air is air that circulates back to a heating or cooling system after passing through a building's occupied spaces.
It flows through return vents and ducts to the HVAC unit, where it's filtered, reconditioned, and sent out again as supply air.
The return air vent was blocked by furniture, reducing system efficiency.
