upslope
Toward higher ground
Upslope refers to the direction going up a slope or hill, or a position higher on an incline: The cabin sits upslope from the creek.
In meteorology, upslope flow describes air moving up a mountain or elevated terrain, often producing clouds and precipitation on the windward side: upslope fog, upslope snow.
