downslope
Toward lower ground
Downslope describes movement or position toward the bottom of a slope or hill: Water flows downslope toward the river.
As an adjective, it modifies things oriented in that direction: a downslope wind, the downslope side of the mountain.
The term appears frequently in geology, meteorology, and skiing contexts.
