Web discussion boards
Online forums are internet discussion spaces where users post messages organized into topic threads.
Unlike real-time chat, forum conversations unfold over hours or days, with posts preserved for later readers.
Forums dominated early internet community-building before social media: I found the answer on a car repair forum.
Many remain active around hobbies, technical support, and niche interests.
