two-up

Diggers' coin game

Two-up is an Australian gambling game where two coins are tossed and bets are placed on whether both land heads or both land tails.

A designated spinner tosses the coins from a small wooden paddle called a kip.

The game has deep cultural significance in Australia, traditionally played on Anzac Day to commemorate military veterans: The pub runs two-up on Anzac Day.
