inside turn
Rotation facing partner
An inside turn is a rotation where you pivot toward your supporting leg, turning inward rather than away from your body.
In dance, it's a turn toward the arm being held or toward your partner: She executed a clean inside turn under his raised arm.
The term also appears in skating and skiing for turns that curve toward the inside edge.
