tuning key
Pitch adjustment tool
A tuning key is a small tool for adjusting the tension of strings on musical instruments.
On guitars and similar instruments, the tuning key turns a peg that tightens or loosens a string to raise or lower its pitch.
Also called a tuning peg or machine head.
Piano tuners use a specialized tuning key (or tuning hammer) to adjust the pins holding piano strings.
