triple flip
Three midair rotations
A triple flip is a figure skating jump where the skater takes off from a back inside edge, rotates three times in the air, and lands on the opposite foot's back outside edge.
The flip is distinguished from similar jumps by its toe-pick-assisted takeoff.
Triple flips are standard elements in competitive skating programs: She landed a clean triple flip in her short program.
